تمثّل الأنثروبولوجيا التطورية تحدّياً صريحاً للمركزية البشرية، إذ تشكّك في حقيقة ابتعادنا عن أصلنا الحيواني، وفي مدى مغادرتنا منطق "الصراع من أجل البقاء" نحو أخلاق عالمية قوامها الشراكة والعدالة والإيثار. وتنطلق هذه الدراسة من مفهوم "الإيثار الضيق" بوصفه تلازماً بين "حب الداخل" و"كره الخارج"، وتُقارب من خلاله كيف أفضى هذا التلازم، عبر تاريخنا التطوري، إلى أخلاق فئوية تُحرّم العنف داخل الجماعة وتُبيحه خارجها، وكيف كان ذلك من الأسباب الجذرية لنشوء الحروب.
وتستعين الدراسة بخمسة فروض تفسيرية متدرجة، تبدأ من الدافع البيولوجي الجذري وتصل إلى السقف الأخلاقي، وهي: التنافس على الموارد، والاختيار الجنسي والاستثمار الأبوي، والإيثار الضيق، وجهاز المناعة السلوكي، وأخيراً الأخلاق الفئوية والانتقاء متعدد المستويات.
وتسير الدراسة على مسارين متوازيين: الأول تطبيق الفرضيات التطورية المفسِّرة للحرب، والثاني فحص انحياز القانون الدولي المعاصر عبر معيار الداخل والخارج. وتُوظِّف في المسار الثاني المقارنةَ بين الحالتين الأوكرانية والفلسطينية دليلاً على أن ازدواجية المعايير في تطبيق القانون الدولي تسير وفق منطق الاصطفاف الجغرافي والتاريخي لا وفق منطق القانون ذاته.
وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن الأخلاق في أصلها التطوري ليست كونية بل فئوية، وأنها تُديم الحروب ولا تُقيّدها، وأن البشرية تواجه ويلات الحروب بالأخلاق ذاتها التي أنتجتها. وأن منطق الداخل والخارج لم يُغادر الحضارة البشرية بل ارتدى لبوس القانون الدولي والمعايير الإنسانية، فكان الفارق بين منطق القبيلة ومنطق النظام الدولي الراهن في الحجم لا في الجوهر.
