The Palestinian elections were held on the 25th of Canon II 2006, and the election results resulted in the victory of the Hamas movement in those elections with a large majority, which was a surprise to the internal political forces, especially the leadership of the movement. Hamas and began the meeting and demonstration, despite the elections held in an atmosphere of democracy and international control, to begin a phase of the Palestinian-Palestinian internal fighting between the factions of the two movements Hamas and Fatah, and led to the fall of dead and wounded on both sides. And politically, after the Hamas movement took control of the Gaza Strip and formed a government headed by Ismail Hania and another government in the West Bank led by the Fatah movement.
