Civilizational Levels at Erbil Citadel

City of Erbil is the Capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government, it is situated between Width line (37) and Longitude line (45), the historical citadel represents its highest peak reaching (414) meters above sea level. The city of Erbil itself represented with a long history of occupation that extends approximately to the sixth millennium B.C and witnessed major historical events, the citadel’s importance is being one of the oldest successive inhabited locations which makes it an eyewitness upon historical and civilizational succession, perhaps the citadel is most distinguished, extending on top of archaeological mound that was consisted of successive occupation levels extends through history.
